Rectron has reaffirmed its sole distributor status with Leadtek Research, the graphics/video accelerator card, TV converter, video conferencing equipment and related products vendor.
This follows reports of "parallel imports" of Leadtek products reaching the South African market.
"The Leadtek products entering the country via alternative channels are unauthorised and will have very limited service and warranty support from Leadtek Research," stresses Mark Lu, Rectron CEO.
From December 2004, all official - and legally imported - Leadtek goods will be identified by a South African national flag emblem on their packaging.
