Rectron offers new graphic accelerators

Johannesburg, 28 Jun 2005

Gigabyte Technology has introduced the GV-RX70P (GV-RX70256D / GV-RX70128DE / GV-R70256D) graphic accelerator powered by the recently released ATI RADEON X700 VPU.

According to Michael Hann, Gigabyte product manager at South African distributor, Rectron, the GV-RX70 series sets a new standard in graphics performance and visual realism by delivering superior graphics, abundant features and rock-solid stability for next-generation games and applications.

Powered by the RADEO X700 core chipset, the GV-RX70 series graphics card uses high-level 0.11 micrometer processing and includes a 16x PCI-Express / AGP 8X interface. The series also offers power and performance with eight pixel pipelines and six vertex engines, with a clock speed of 400MHz.

The GV-RX70 series board level architecture is similar to the GV-RX80 series, thus delivering a 3D Benchmark value up to 5500. Also, the series features Gigabyte`s SilentPipe technology for noiseless gaming. "You`ll be running fast and silent at the same time," comments Hann.

The graphic accelerators also adhere to the needs of casual gamers who want great game performance but also need superior video performance for home entertainment systems and DVD playbacks.
