Indicative of the companies` strengthening partnership, South African distributor Rectron has been appointed by Sony as an official local warrantee repair partner for its range Vaio notebooks.
Effective immediately, all Vaio warrantee repairs can be taken to Rectron`s head offices in Midrand, Johannesburg where a team of certified technicians will handle all the relevant repairs.
Commenting on the appointment, Zandr'e Rudolph, general manager at Rectron, says it is particularly significant as Rectron has in a short period of time proven its expertise to Sony and its partners.
"We have only been distributing Sony for a few months - to be appointed a warrantee repair centre so soon undoubtedly emphasises the inroads we`ve made as well our strong partnership with Sony."

Rectron was appointed a South African distributor for Sony earlier this year. The company is responsible for the distribution of Sony`s ranges of notebooks, cameras, camcorders, plasma and LCD screens and various personal audio equipment that include MP3 players to local users.
