JSE-listed technology company, Rectron, has been appointed as the exclusive South African distributor for the optical devices division of Aopen.
Aopen manufactures computer components and is part of the $7 billion Acer group. This group has more than 22 years of experience in the PC industry and over 700 patents in PC technology.
AOpen Optical products include a wide range of CD-ROM and DVD offerings including 52X CD-ROM, 8X CD-RW, 16X DVD-ROM, and 4x6x4x24x COMBO (4X DVD-ROM, 6X CD-R, 4X CD-RW and 24X CD-ROM).
According to Rectron CEO, Mark Lu, AOpen products are performance orientated and offer wide ranging compatibility.
"Every AOpen product is manufactured and tested in strict ISO 9001 and ISO 9002 certified facilities, complying with the world`s most rigid safety standards," he says.
