Red Brick Systems today has announced Red Brick Formation, the newest component of Red Brick DecisionScape(SM), Red Brick`s environment of products, services, methodology and partnerships for data warehousing solutions. Red Brick Formation provides scalable data extraction and transformation capabilities. Red Brick has begun the customer beta programme for Red Brick Formation. Red Brick Formation is designed to help data warehousing analysts, business users and partners reduce the overall cost of deploying decision support applications by transforming operational data into actionable business information. Reducing maintenance cost Red Brick Formation is structured to satisfy the need for moving large amounts of data into the decision support environment with low ongoing maintenance cost. Using Red Brick Formation, customers and partners can design data transformations to suit their targeted application needs without custom coding. Using Red Brick Formation`s graphical user interface (GUI), users can create, store, reuse and change their transformations, as well as their data sources and targets, as application needs change.
