RedBrigade, an IT business solutions provider focusing on e-business and m-commerce, which will launch its South African concern in mid-July, plans to run its global virtual private network (VPN) from its Sandton offices. The VPN is being implemented using in-house skills and will run on Cisco hardware.
The aim, according to RedBrigade SA country manager Angus Young, is to become the group`s global nerve centre, drawing on the resources of Nasdaq-listed parent company iGATE Capital.
"In the next six months our South African business will host our global training centre, networking group and a Cisco approved lab. Our global VPN will also operate from SA." Young confirms the VPN will allow for a shared load of up to 500 users at a time, and will eventually cater for users in the UK, New York and Germany, among others.
The move forms part of RedBrigade`s global expansion following the company`s re-creation of Mastech Europe into RedBrigade in April this year, and subsequent growth in Europe.
