Chris Boorman, Veritas VP of marketing for the EMEA region, has announced the resignation of Veritas Software SA country manager, Dave Reddy.
Speaking at the Veritas offices in Sandton yesterday, Boorman declined to elaborate on the announcement. He explained that Reddy decided to move on after a two-and-a-half-year stay at Veritas, and described the resignation as a sad loss to the organisation.
"Veritas would like to wish him well in his new venture, and thank him for his contribution and selfless services," said Boorman. "It is indeed a sad loss, as he played a pivotal role in ensuring the growth of the region."
"Veritas wishes to acknowledge Reddy for his contribution; he has been instrumental in increasing the Veritas stronghold in SA and the African continent," said Bob Slater, Veritas Middle East, Africa and Russia regional director.
"Reddy played a significant role in formalising the local channel structure and established Veritas` education services in SA," said Slater.
"Nick Wonfor is the acting country manager, and we are in the process of finding a suitable candidate for that position," said Boorman.
