Redline Communications Inc, a leading provider of standards based broadband fixed wireless equipment, has appointed RapidCloud Technology (Pty) Ltd as their first Value Added Distributor for sub-Saharan Africa. The agreement will see Redline`s technologies, already installed with customers in over 40 countries, being distributed in Africa, a region where Redline has had minimal sales success until now. The agreement will allow RapidCloud to distribute the full range of products including the award-winning AN-50 point-to-point and point-to-multipoint unit and the AN-30, a wireless alternative to leased lines and other wired links.
RapidCloud, already active in the African market, will distribute the Redline broadband fixed wireless solutions to compliment their existing solution offerings. The demand for unlicensed (5.470 - 5.825 GHz), broadband, fixed wireless, networking technologies that can be rapidly and reliably deployed, is huge. The products, deliver an over the air rate of 72 Mbps and are targeted at access and backhaul applications including voice backhaul for carriers.
