Reliable messaging solution released by Zenaptix

Johannesburg, 07 Dec 2001

Making sure that the sender and recipient of a message via the Internet both know whether or not a message was actually sent and received might sound straight forward but until now, this has not been easy to implement. By its very nature, the Internet is unreliable. Applications that are up and running may go down without warning for a variety of reasons.

The Zenaptix Xeco "process server" provides a solution to this problem that has plagued Internet application developers for years. Xeco goes further and makes sure that messages are only sent once, and only to the intended recipient. In addition, Xeco will ensure that the necessary security is in place and that the integrity of the message and its payload has not been compromised.

Xeco is the first solution that is interoperable with products from IBM, Microsoft, Sun, Oracle and BEA. A CRM business process hosted in a Microsoft .Net environment can be integrated with an ERP business hosted within a WebSphere environment in a manner that goes beyond simple application integration. Collaborative business, and the integration of business processes will require many additional services.

The recently released open standards-based Xeco collaboration tool incorporates services that provide for the integrity, security, responsiveness, flexibility, scalability and robustness of the underlying infrastructure and the business processes it supports.

Xeco`s reception in the market has been astonishingly good. Clearly there is an opportunity in the middleware market for business collaboration tools that has not been met. Business collaboration is likely to receive considerable attention in 2002.
