The new division will focus on helping clients optimise their telecommunications infrastructure and gain a better understanding of their costs. RentWorks Telecomms Solutions will do an initial analysis, which includes a physical audit of all lines, circuits and hardware, reflected on invoices. Billed rates are then verified against contract and tariff terms for local, long distance, cellular, pager and network services. Mistakes would be identified, and overcharges, miscellaneous surcharges and tax costs rectified. A cost saving proposal based on these findings with projected savings is then presented, and after a trial period, fully implemented.
"What`s even more interesting," continues Vilakazi, "is that we provide the initial audit at no cost, and only if we are formally engaged does the customer start to pay. And even then, it would be on a percentage of savings basis."
A consolidated view of telecommunications means expenses can be allocated to the appropriate cost centre or business unit. And as a result, organisations can improve their ability to manage staff telecoms behaviour and gain a much more accurate forecast of expenses.
