Replicon hits 1.1m users with Web TimeSheet 6.1

Johannesburg, 11 Oct 2005

Replicon, the international time tracking software specialist whose solutions are distributed locally by DVT, has released Web TimeSheet 6.1, its Web-based time and billing software, and in doing so has hit the 1.1 million user mark.

In development since 1998, Web TimeSheet is used in 56 countries by companies such as HP, Compaq, AT&T Wireless and Sony Music to give visibility into project costs and status, facilitate cost allocation and charge-backs, accelerate billing cycles, increase employee productivity and enhance profitability.

"Highly scalable and flexible, Web TimeSheet 6.1 incorporates various project and organisational models to accelerate timesheet adoption, enable the creation of customisable reports, maximise individual productivity, manage project costs, increase profitability and improve cash flow through accelerated billing cycles," says Trevor van Rensburg, products director at DVT Gauteng, Replicon`s South African strategic partner and value-added reseller.

New features in Web TimeSheet 6.1 include:

* Flexible, multi-client billing;
* Multiple client project creations;
* Project cost allocations based on percentages;
* Online employee time-off requests;
* Managerial approval or rejection of these time-off requests; and
* Report creation in PDF format.

The application can also be customised to include a company`s look, feel, colour and logo.

Configurable timesheets allow the organisation to undertake specific project costing and client billing. It contains a powerful, real-time graphical reporting engine for the creation of standard and customised reports as required. Smart e-mail notification encourages prompt submission of timesheets.

"Some organisations have more than 80 different approval paths to choose from, making the application`s fit to the business needs specific and accurate," Van Rensburg says. "It also enables integrated expense tracking in different currencies, automatically calculates tax, and integrates with project management, accounting, enterprise resource planning and payroll systems running in the organisation."

Web TimeSheet uses an intuitive interface and pre-populates timesheets with project names and codes to ensure fast and accurate time and expense entry by employees. Extensive pre-packaged and user-customisable reports are readily available and an integrated reporting engine gives individuals the power to extract data and save personally preferred reports.

Real-time graphical snapshots of individual productivity status enable the provision of immediate feedback, with individual employees being able to view their peer-rankings in departments and across the company.

"The application provides managers in the organisation with the means to quickly analyse project costs so that smart decisions can be made about those projects not contributing positively to bottom line profits," Van Rensburg says. "Billing cycles can be reduced by as much as 70%, so significantly increasing cash flow, through improved client billing as a result of timesheet compliance."

Web TimeSheet is 100% Web-based, requiring no multiple desktop client software installation, support and maintenance. It has an open data model that allows for the transfer of quantitative productivity and financial data to other applications.
