Replicon, the international time tracking software specialist whose products are distributed locally by DVT, has integrated its automated timesheet and expense management solution, Web TimeSheet into Web Resource 1.1, its Web-based resource scheduling product. It allows companies to better manage the time and skill types of their employees.
With a common login, enhanced calendar views and better visibility into multiple bookings, this latest release eliminates the need to create duplicate projects and resources across the two applications.
"With the benefits enabled through the integration between Web TimeSheet and Web Resource 1.1, the solutions are now ideally suited for professional services organisations, those in the legal and accounting professions, and even specific departments in companies," says Trevor van Rensburg, products director at DVT Gauteng, a strategic partner and value-added reseller for Replicon.
"With this solution, users are now empowered with quantitative, real-time workforce productivity analysis; and the means to set meaningful output goals for employees that are tied directly to bottom line revenues."
Web Resource 1.1 was designed to help organisations optimise their workforce through centralised resource definition and tracking, skills management, project allocation and availability planning.
100% Web-based, and accessible through all Internet browsers, the solution provides companies with a complete picture of their resource pool and the ability to define an unlimited number of skill types and skill levels, assign multiple skill levels types to each resource and book and view time off for these resources.
"The application`s intuitive design requires little or no training and minimal administration," Van Rensburg says. "It enables the speedy set-up of projects, the easy assignment of resources to these projects according to availability and skills, and the allocation of placeholders to indicate resource shortages when they occur."
Real-time, flexible calendar views allow users to identify and resolve resource booking conflicts and project overlaps. Employees can view current and upcoming projects and book time off accordingly.
"Web Resource was created in response to the market`s need for a simple, Web-based resource scheduling tool," Ban Rensburg says. "It is used by organisations around the world, scaling to suit small, non-profit organisations and large corporations. Its user interface is easy, its out-of-the-box reports are instantly usable, and its configurability far superior to any other resource scheduling tool available on the market today."
