Electronics company Reunert has lost another top-level executive, with the resignation of its commercial director.

The company late yesterday issued a statement indicating that Gerrit Oosthuizen resigned as a director of Reunert and its subsidiary companies with effect from Friday.

Oosthuizen was Reunert's commercial director and was appointed to the board in 1997. His resignation follows the September announcement that CEO Nick Wentzel and the company had reached a “mutual agreement” that would see Wentzel leave with immediate effect.

Dave Rawlinson, Reunert financial director, and FD designate Manuela Krog, were appointed CE and FD respectively with immediate effect.

Wentzel had been appointed as CEO in the middle of last year, after Gerrit “Boel” Pretorius stepped down a year before his employment contract ended.

Reunert has stakes in electronics, telecommunications and a set-top box manufacturing unit.
