Reunert expands Siemens stake

Electronics company Reunert has agreed to buy out Siemens' 60% stake in Siemens Enterprise Communications, which will give Reunert sole ownership.

The value of the deal has not been disclosed. However, it is in line with Siemens Enterprise Communications' global indirect channel , through which it targets growth through enablement of channel and partners around the world. Siemens is focusing on its three core sectors of energy, industry and .

Reunert CEO Gerrit Pretorius says the “acquisition of the remaining shares of Siemens Enterprise Communications provides a good opportunity for us to expand in a market that is familiar to the Reunert group”.

He adds: “Our Nashua businesses will be significantly enhanced by the addition of SA's market leader in enterprise systems to its current portfolio of businesses. As a preferred supplier of office automation equipment, mobile telephony solutions, air-conditioning systems and communications solutions, Reunert will be poised to meet nearly all needs of today's enterprise customers.”

Siemens Enterprise Communications senior VP and head of sales of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region Lars-Ole Hansen, says: “We are confident that our clients here will continue to benefit from the outstanding technologies, products, solutions and services that we supply.”
