Lexmark International today announced that its board of directors had named Richard A Pelini as vice-president and treasurer, effective immediately. He will report to Gary Morin, executive vice-president and CFO.
Pelini was employed at Lexmark from 1991 to 1998 as assistant treasurer. During that time, he established a debt- and risk-management structure for the company, managed its foreign currency-hedging programme, and negotiated and implemented securitised receivables programmes in the US and Germany.
"Lexmark is very pleased to welcome Rick back to the company," said Morin. "His solid understanding of finance and economic markets is a perfect fit for a global company like Lexmark in these increasingly competitive times."
In 1998, Pelini joined Cincinnati-based Convergys Corp, where he held the positions of assistant treasurer and vice-president/treasurer, before his most recent role as senior vice-president of finance for an operating subsidiary of the global software and services company.
Pelini holds a bachelor`s degree in industrial engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Pittsburgh. He will relocate to Lexington with his wife, Kim, and their three children.
