Ninzi-Connect Software, one of the leading suppliers of unified communications, workforce management and recording solutions to the contact centre industry, is proud to announce the appointment of Richard Shaw as Managing Director, effective 1 November 2012.
Company founder, Howard Haines, retires after over 20 years. Under his leadership, the company has been built up into a leading supplier to major financial, insurance and telecommunications companies in South Africa. Haines will remain involved with the company by consulting in a strategic role.
In the tough current economic climate, Shaw sees his key objective as achieving sustainable growth for the company.
Commenting on his future ambitions for Ninzi-Connect, Shaw says: "It is my goal for Ninzi-Connect to focus on generating a good return on investment over the short to medium term. I look forward to the challenge of continuing to build on the legacy left by Howard Haines, by growing a company with a solid reputation for delivering quality solutions in the contact centre space.
"With the strength of Aspect Software and Nice Systems' products underpinning our strong team of professionals, we are ideally placed to offer our existing and future customers the further benefits of unified communications, workforce optimisation, performance management and analytics in their customer-facing and back-office environments."
Shaw has been with the company for nearly 20 years in the role of Technical Director.
Ninzi-Connect started off in 1989 as Multi-Connect, supplying telecommunications support solutions. From there the company evolved into the call centre environment, and by 1992, had supplied dedicated ACD systems to a large number of customers including two of the major banks. Through its strong ties with world leading suppliers of predictive diallers, workforce management and voice recording, Multi-Connect continued to grow, and by 1996, Multi-Connect was the largest supplier of large outbound collections platforms and workforce management in the country.
In 2005, Multi-Connect was re-constituted as Ninzi-Connect, with a broader shareholding, including previously disadvantaged staff, through an employee PDI Trust. In keeping with the founder's convictions, all new shareholders and members of the trust were existing staff members who he believed had helped the company to grow and deserved to be part of the company's future growth.
