Ricoh focuses on document solutions

Ricoh has established a document solutions and services division, chartered to develop and market Ricoh document solutions and services worldwide, according to a release.

The division will be coordinated as a single entity but will operate as two distinct groups within Ricoh.

The new division will be made up of three groups: the document solutions marketing centre, the US technology centre, and the netsourcing business centre.

Intel has released a phone adapter that allows small business and residential users to make voice over IP (VOIP) calls from desktop PCs using existing telephones, the company said in a statement.

The Intel 600SM PCI phone adapter includes hardware, software and services featuring an analogue telephone adapter on a PCI card that works with a variety of leading VOIP service providers.

The phone adapter is the latest addition to Intel`s portfolio of products and technology for office workers.

UStec`s patented wallport provides data, video, and voice signals distribution via cable from a central location to wallports throughout a small office environment or home, reports BBW Exchange.

The wallports then transmit wirelessly to devices in the room. Computers, electronic devises and home controls all operate on the integrated network.

Dead spots are eliminated and bandwidth is maximised. The solution is open to any digital protocol, including WiFi and WiMax.
