Ricoh intros print control app
Ricoh Business Solutions Group (BSG) has released an embedded application to help organisations set limits on print and copy use, reports Computerworld.
ESA QuotaManager was developed locally by Ricoh Australia's BSG to answer to local customer demand for a solution that adds accountability and cost control to a range of Ricoh's fleet of multifunctional devices.
The embedded application doesn't require a server, making it a cost-effective remedy for school environments or small commercial offices who want to ensure that staff MFD use doesn't get out of control.

ThinPrint presents a cloud printing solution for the Google Chrome OS. The new solution will be available in the fourth quarter of 2010, reports Newswire.
Its cloud printing solution is following the mandate to relocate the complete printing system in the cloud and to use the end device as a kind of facilitator for communication between applications and printers.
“Naturally, we don't have all the details on the Google Chrome OS yet, but we are certain that we will provide the best Google Chrome OS print solution based on our patented technology,” said Carsten Mickeleit, chairman of the board of directors of ThinPrint AG.
