Ricoh unveils gel-ink printer
Ricoh has introduced the Aficio GX e5550N, its GelSprinter line of colour inkjet printers, writes PR-USA.
Designed for business environments, the GX e5550N provides an alternative to laser printing where speed and duplexing meet high-volume demands. GelSprinter technology utilises a gel ink formula for better performance in dry environments.
Fast drying with waterproof properties, the ink eliminates smudging, bleed-through and page curling.
Mondi qualifies for Xeikon presses
Mondi has qualified for Xeikon digital duplex presses with the colour laser paper Colour Copy, states Packaging and Packaging and Converting Essentials.
Mondi has entered into a new substrate qualification agreement with Xeikon, a division of Punch Graphix, which guarantees that Colour Copy will provide perfect print quality, stable printing behaviour and no curl or stacking problems on Xeikon digital presses.
“Colour Copy has long been used successfully on Xeikon machines, but with the now official qualification printers have the advantage that Colour Copy is available via the script files on Xeikon machines or available as a download from the Xeikon homepage,” says Johannes Klumpp, marketing and sales director at Mondi.
