Printing and imaging technology company, Ricoh is hosting its Freedom to Operate event in London this week, with small, medium-sized and large enterprises in attendance.
The event was opened on Monday by Chas Moloney, director at Ricoh UK, who said the key focus of the event is on improving productivity and efficiencies within organisations through better information management.
"Recent research highlights that workers spend an average of seven hours a week searching for the information they need to do their job. That's almost a full day. What difference would it make to your business if your employees were productive for an additional seven hours a week?" asked Moloney.
He added that most organisations are overwhelmed with information today.
"They need information to work for them, not hold them back. This event is designed to give attendees concrete strategies for seizing that information, putting it to work and reaping the results. We've also built in time for attendees to talk to executive thought leaders and business information experts."
According to Moloney, the event will take place across different cities in the UK for the autumn/winter period.
"The 'Freedom to Operate' experience will feature three zones and will cover a wide number of key themes, including optimising your mobile workforce; speeding the flow of business-critical information; making your operations more effective and efficient; improving sustainability; and an overview of critical trends in the enterprise," noted Moloney.
"We aim to help businesses explore barriers to working more efficiently, such as technology or data, and the issues these have generated," he concluded.
