Office automation products such as printers, copiers and the like, continue to permeate the IT infrastructure with their networking capabilities and various software applications.
Minolco, sole distributors of Minolta digital office solutions, has now added to this range by becoming an accredited business partner with AmVia, exclusive distributors of the RightFax range of products in southern Africa.
RightFAX is a fax server, ideal for the larger corporate market, which allows faxes to be sent from the desktop PC and, depending on the line set up, allows faxes to be received on the PC.
Says Ivo Baiao, fax division product manager, "There is so much you can do with RightFAX. If your company distributes a large volume of documents by fax, you can programme RightFAX to send the documents electronically, thereby streamlining the process, increasing productivity and reducing the cost of consumables. It also brings you that much closer to the `paperless office` ideal.
Further, as the product encompasses various modules, users have a wide range of fax options to choose from, including, Least-cost Routing facilities and integration with email, Baan, SAP or Oracle applications," says Baiao.
Since the introduction of the product to the fax division, Minolta software support personnel have qualified as RightFAX engineers, providing the support function Minolta customers have come to depend on.
The agreement means Minolta now offers a total fax solution, from inkjets, through to lasers and RightFAX.
And according to Baiao, the product has already surpassed expectations - with over R2-million worth of prospects recorded to date.
