Riley signed to lift revenues
Thomas Riley has been appointed MD of Savvis International, the IT services company, to boost revenues in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, says Financial Times.
Riley was previously the US ambassador to Morocco, where he focused on economic development. He has headed several Silicon Valley and European technology companies, including Unity Systems, TRW, Web State and ActivePhoto.
He has nearly three decades of experience in international business and technology and for the five years he served as ambassador to Morocco, he assisted US businesses in establishing and expanding operations.
Nu Tek selects new CEO
Nu Tek India has appointed Raghavendra Kulkarani as the CEO of Nu Tek, states Tech Whack.
Kulkarani's addition to the management team further strengthens the telecom infrastructure services provider's expertise and understanding of the telecom industry. According to Nu Tek, he also brings with him a rich pool of knowledge and experiences from organisations like Lucent Technologies and Soma Networks.
“I am indeed very excited to be a part of NuTek as I see immense opportunities for this company. The telecom sector is the most promising sector in India as there is a huge base of potential customers,” says Kulkarani.
REA Group bags CMC's
Realestate.com.au owner REA Group has acquired its new CIO from contracts for difference specialist CMC Markets Australia, reports ZDNet.
REA Group's new CIO, Daniel Oertli, rounds out the company's local management team. The appointment comes six months after former CIO Chris Vulovic announced her resignation from the company shortly after it appointed Greg Ellis to the role of CEO.
As head of technology for CMC Markets' Asia-Pacific operations, Oertli had successfully unified information technology development, infrastructure and support teams, says a statement by REA Group.
