Ten years ago, with the slogan: “Finally, infinite possibilities”, a remarkable success story in enclosure technology began. Rittal's TS 8 Top Enclosure system was hailed a breakthrough and rapidly became the standard in many industrial, IT and telecoms applications.
Since the turn of the century, more than 4.5 million TS 8 “all-rounders” have been use around the world.
Back then, many customers had expressed the wish for an enclosure system with a limitless range of installation possibilities. The dream became a reality with the launch of the Rittal TS 8 Top Enclosure system - successor to the PS 4000 - 10 years ago.
Thanks to the symmetry of the TS 8 system platform, the user has the largest possible number of options for expanding on a number of assembly levels, for baying on all sides, all combined with high stability at low weight.
Faced with different applications, customers now no longer have to rely on different enclosure types, but can always benefit from the advantages of a uniform, universal platform and one range of accessories. The big benefit to users: high flexibility, easy and fast installation, worldwide availability and proven quality.
The exceptionally high corrosion resistance is another of the TS 8's unique selling points. The resistance is made possible with three-phase surface protection with nanoceramic pre-treatment, electrophoretic dip coat-priming and subsequent powder-coating.
In addition to perfect interaction with appropriate climate control and power distribution components, the TS 8 system makes use of synergies with other types of Rittal enclosures. It means that customers can save significant amounts of time and energy by having access to uniform system accessories when using the TS 8, the CM compact enclosure and the Top Console (TP) system.
Users can also employ the “RiCAD 3D TS 8 Configurator” to accelerate engineering processes. This way, the appropriate TS 8 accessories can be quickly selected and added with ease. The design data needed can be obtained in nearly all CAD formats.
