Rocket Software releases latest version of NetCure service assurance software

Johannesburg, 24 Aug 2005

SecureData, a member of the JSE-listed ERP.com Group and the southern African distributor for Rocket Software, today announced the latest version of its NetCure service-assurance software that provides powerful business-infrastructure and service assurance for enterprises and service providers.

NetCure substantially reduces the time required to isolate, diagnose and resolve business infrastructure problems. The software also identifies potential performance degradation in applications and networks in advance, automatically notifying appropriate operations personnel or triggering corrective actions before business services are critically impacted.

"NetCure continues to evolve as an enterprise-class tool for management of large network environments from a business perspective," commented Andy Youniss, CEO of Rocket Software. "NetCure offers a single package that provides unmatched functionality for fault and performance monitoring of applications, systems, servers and networks."

NetCure boasts highly scalable, fast and continuous auto-discovery of devices in layer-2 through layer-7, and its patented intelligent multi-layer auto-discovery engine accurately and rapidly discovers applications, servers, systems and network devices. NetCure discovers both physical and logical network topology including routers, switches, chassis, slot, port, interface and VLAN configurations.

NetCure continuously monitors and detects any changes to the environment and automatically updates its topology model to reflect the changing environment. This latest NetCure release also has improved features for 24/7 operations centres, including event persistence, failover capability, event logging, and change auditing.

In addition, NetCure has improved management capabilities for Microsoft Windows Server platforms. NetCure is now available on Windows 2000, Linux RedHat or SuSE, and Sun Solaris operating systems.
