RSA Security has announced that it has certified Check Point Software Technologies` VPN-1/FireWall-1 Next Generation (NG) security solutions with its RSA Keon product family. Specifically, RSA Security has certified that the RSA Keon Certificate Authority (CA), RSA Keon Desktop and RSA Keon Web PassPort solutions are fully interoperable with Check Point NG.
The RSA Keon CA is designed to be fully compatible with VPN-1/FireWall-1, allowing digital certificates issued by the CA to be incorporated in the VPN-1/FireWall-1 gateway, SecureClient and SecuRemote software. New support in NG SecureClient and SecuRemote allows for RSA Keon user credentials to be retrieved from RSA Keon Web PassPort and RSA Keon Desktop directly by the Check Point client software. RSA Security and Check Point`s combined customers benefit by utilising two industry-leading solutions - RSA Keon PKI software for user credential management and Check Point NG for secure communication.
