RSA Security and Cisco Systems have partnered for the delivery of security solutions for e-Business applications and communications. As part of the relationship, RSA Security has extended its charter membership in the Cisco Security and VPN Associate Programme to include RSA Keon public key infrastructure (PKI) software.
The announcement further demonstrates RSA Security`s support for Cisco`s SAFE security blueprint that is designed to help organisations securely, reliably and cost-effectively engage in e-Business. SAFE integrates scalable, high performance security services throughout the e-Business infrastructure, making it possible for companies to design and implement intelligent, self-defending networks. In addition, it is enhanced by a rich ecosystem of third-party products, solutions and services, of which RSA Security is a part through the Cisco Security and VPN Associate Programme.
The Cisco Security and VPN Associate Programme anchors this ecosystem, providing customers with interoperable, tested and certified security solutions based on Cisco`s security products and third-party security products.

In addition, the two companies have certified Cisco`s SAFE solutions as RSA Keon-Ready and RSA SecurID-Ready, extending interoperability between the two companies` technologies. Cisco solutions are already RSA BSAFE enabled.
