RSA Security has announced the programme for RSA Conference 2001, its tenth annual e-security conference and exposition - and the largest security expo ever staged - scheduled for 8-12 April, 2001 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Recognised as the industry`s premier e-security and cryptography gathering, RSA Security anticipates this year`s event will attract more than 10 000 decision-makers from business, government, academia, Wall Street and the media.
RSA Conference 2001 features more than 250 vendors and is sponsored by Compaq, Computer Associates, EDS, HP, Intel, Microsoft, nCipher and VeriSign. It will kick off with a special presentation by Jim Bidzos, conference chairman and vice chairman of RSA Security, and will feature keynote presentations from industry leaders and national policy makers.
Attendees can also participate in special, new conference tracks covering security threats, vertical industries, government, law and policy and nearly 200[MH1] individual breakout sessions on topics ranging from the latest in cutting-edge cryptographic research to the most current implementations of enterprise security and secure electronic commerce. The optional Sunday tutorials and immersion training sessions will present the basics of crypto technology, enterprise security and network security development techniques.
"The RSA Conference 2001 takes the security industry`s premier annual event to the next level, featuring more conference tracks, more attendees, more exhibitors, more exhibit space and one of the best locations in the country," said Peter Burgess, territory manager: sub-Saharan Africa at RSA Security. "The conference provides a real opportunity for the leaders in e-business, government, the cryptography community and academia to share their insights on critical implementation, policy, standards and technology issues."
New Conference Tracks
Reflecting security`s increasingly important role in an expanding array of application areas, RSA Conference 2001 will feature several new conference tracks in addition to the tracks presented at last year`s conference:
The Industry Track will present industry-specific case studies and solutions in the areas of finance, application service providers (ASPs), healthcare/biotech and telecom/wireless.
The Threats Track will present talks about hacking, attacks, network forensics and countermeasures.
The Government Track will cover topics of interest to the public sector and the industries that serve it, including federal, state and local contractors and government employees.
The Law and Policy Track will present topics of interest to lawmakers, privacy and civil-rights activists, policy-makers, lawyers and public-interest groups.
In addition, for the first time, proposals for the Cryptographers` Track will be academically refereed by a cross-section of experts in this important field, and the proceedings of the Cryptographers` Track will be published in Springer Verlag`s Lecture Notes in Computer Science.
The complete catalogue of more than 200 [MH2]classes, featuring a wide variety of workshops, seminars and talks, can be found at www.rsaconference.com.
