South African Triple S Solutions has entered an agreement with Russian anti-virus solutions provider Doctor Web to market and distribute the Eastern European company`s product range locally and in Southern Africa.

The Russian group`s products are superior to most anti-virus brands currently available on the market, Triple S MD Steven Cohen believes after testing Doctor Web`s evaluation version.

"We found Doctor Web`s anti-virus solution is quicker, uses less memory and detects and removes more viruses than many of the products that are already on the South African market," he says.

Doctor Web, Russia`s oldest anti-virus solutions company, was established in 1993 by Igor Daniloff and has since positioned itself as a major player in the European market, having a contract with, among others, the Russian military, Cohen adds.

In terms of the agreement, Triple S Solutions has the sole marketing and distribution rights for Doctor Web`s product range in SA and the rest of the continent, up to the equator.

So far, Cohen says, markets have been identified in Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
