Sunstone Business Solutions, an 18-month old South African computing company specialising in data warehousing solutions and e-business relationship management strategies, has won one of the top global awards presented by Cognos, the world`s largest business intelligence solutions company.
The presentation of Cognos` coveted Pinnacle award was made at this year`s Cognos Year 2001 Kick-Off conference in Orlando, Florida, where employees, and more than 250 Cognos partners met to learn of the latest Cognos development and to update their product knowledge and technical skills.
"The award was made in recognition of Sunstone`s successful use of Cognos tools in developing industry-leading data warehouses in South Africa for a range of clients including top Blue Chip companies," says Tharina van der Merwe, channel manager of Cognos SA. "Despite being a relatively young company, Sunstone has a depth of expertise with senior personnel being involved in the industry for many years. This is evident from the firm`s success in the marketplace with the Cognos solutions which is based on an understanding of the technology, sales performance and value-add," she says.
