Sage Ireland wins award
Sage Ireland won the Payroll Software Provider of the Year Award for Medium to Large Companies at this year`s Irish Payroll Association Awards, reports Techcentral
The 2007 award recognises high-quality payroll software and support, and was presented on the strength of Sage`s payroll research and development and quality of service, support and customer commitment.
The Irish Payroll Association is Ireland`s premier provider of payroll training, PAYE training, PRSI training, VAT training qualifications and consultancy services.
GE SeaCo buys HR software
GE SeaCo Services has bought HR software from Snowdrop to consolidate its employee data and ensure international legislative compliance, reports BusinessWire.
Initially, GE SeaCo will implement Snowdrop`s Evergreen (personnel records management) and U-Access (employee and line manager self-service) modules, to be accessed by the five members of its HR team.
Snowdrop`s SDS (Snowdrop Directory Services) tool will also be implemented at the end of the year to assist the company with SOX compliance.
Sage Software introduces PayCards
Sage Software has announced Sage Payroll PayCards, a new employee payment option for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) and organisations, reports EarthTimes.
Sage Payroll PayCards can help reduce payroll costs and the liabilities associated with paper paycheque generation, while enabling employers to give their employees a simple, cost-effective way to receive their pay.
"We will not only be offering paycards, but we will also offer the support that SMEs and organisations need to educate their employees on maximum use of the card," said Karl Grass, senior VP and GM of Employer Solutions at Sage Software.
