The Sage Tetra division of Q Data Consulting, which is part of the PQ Africa group will be showcasing its new lineup of resource management and planning products and services at the upcoming SAPICS (Education Society for Supply Chain Management) convention in Sun City from June 25 to 28.
In addition to Seagate Software`s value-added business intelligence applications Seagate Info and Crystal Reports, Sage Tetra will also launch its partnership with advanced planning system vendor Preactor.
Preactor MD Mike Novels will be on the stand to discuss the product with SAPICS delegates as part of a high-level Sage Tetra team including divisional Manager Steve Morgan, Q Data Consulting GM Roger Milligan and Sage Tetra Johannesburg manager Stephen Howe.
Morgan says the combination of industry standard BI and MRP services with Sage Tetra`s Sage CS/3 and CS midrange ERP solutions extends the division`s value offering across the supply chain and gives clients a wider berth of options for building competitive advantage in their market space.
"The strength of our extended services and depth of resources as part of the broader PQ Africa group puts the Sage Tetra division in a strong position to grow its clients` business and help them achieve competitive advantage.
"Despite the number of products on show, the strategy is importantly product-independent, made possible by a growing product portfolio and the range of solutions available from the group. In this way business solutions determine the appropriate technology combination for each of our clients, irrespective of size or market position, and not the other way round as is typically the case."
Morgan says SAPICS is an important forum for the division, adding that: "The convention is host to some of the country`s leading supply chain management vendors and as such attracts a number of companies that can benefit directly from exposure to ERP-related services such as e-commerce, knowledge management and CRM.
"South African companies are rapidly shifting their mindset from the regional economy of old to the new practices of global trade through e-business. ERP is at the centre of this shift, and vendors that offer the optimal combination of skills, products and services for the e-business boom can expect to stay ahead of the market share curve in the next few years."
He continues: "This can only happen if companies forge the right partnerships today that will stand them by through the transition, and in our partnerships with Sage, Seagate Software and Preactor, we believe our clients are in good company."
