Sahara to distribute Samsung's SCX-4521F

Johannesburg, 20 Apr 2006

Samsung's latest multifunction printer, fax and scanner solution, the compact five-in-one SCX-4521F, is available to the local market through Sahara Computers.

The laser multifunction printer, copier, fax and colour scanner was developed by Samsung to add value to business, especially within a home-based and small office setting.

The SCX-4521F features 10MB RAM memory and produces high-resolution 600dpi at speeds of up to 20 pages per minute in black and white. The Economical TonerSave feature extends cartridge life by up to 40%, while still producing high quality prints.

The solution's compact and convenient flatbed design offers ergonomic value to business where the optimum use of space is a key consideration.

"Total cost of ownership is an important factor for businesses, particularly for those operating within the small and medium segment. This device offers a lot of value for money and eliminates the need for business owners to invest in additional equipment, material and resources and incur further cost," explains Gary Naidoo, Deputy MD of Sahara Computers.

As a digital copier, the SCX-4521F features a copy speed of up to 20ppm at 600dpi with multi-copy capability.

The product's multiple modes means versatility and convenience for the user, including: ID Card (copy the front and back of a document on one side of the page), Poster Copy (print out an image up to 300% of original size on multiple sheets of paper), Copy Collation (automatically collates multiple sets of documents) as well as Clone Copy (print multiple copies of the same image on the same page) and Favourite Copy, among others.

For scanning purposes, the solution offers 4 800dpi enhanced colour scanning with a 33.6Kbps fax modem and three-second transmission.

"This all-in-one solution allows the user to automatically attach scanned image directly to an e-mail, scan documents and convert them to text on your PC automatically. It saves on time, encourages greater levels of productivity and enhances the company's capability to digitally communicate," adds Naidoo.
