E-commerce company SalesBid today announced that it has signed an agreement with JSE listed Moneyweb to form an on-line partnership. In terms of the agreement SalesBid will be Moneyweb's preferred auction partner and both company's websites will feature links to the other.
Moneyweb users will be able to register for a SalesBid passport from Moneyweb's online properties that will enable them to transact through SalesBid affiliate sites.
SalesBid will pay Moneyweb a commission on sales transacted by users who registered for a SalesBid passport via Moneyweb's niche publications. This exclusive agreement will run for a five-year term and makes provision for introductions of new vendors to SalesBid.
Moneyweb Chairman Dr Andrew Smith comments: "Adding links to SalesBid's auction network from our online properties adds even greater value for Moneyweb's fast-growing subscriber base. As a SalesBid's preferred auction partner we are looking forward to a mutually profitable relationship."
Moneyweb continues to expand its e-commerce reach through selective partnerships that complement the interests of its high net worth community and subscriber base. Smith adds: "Moneyweb is showing that the new economy is not a do-it-all-yourself business. The most successful e-commerce players are networks of best-of-breed players."
Says SalesBid CEO Rael Levitt: "This partnership with Moneyweb is fundamental to our strategy of building a network of companies that we transact with. More importantly both companies stand to benefit from the agreement.
Levitt goes on to say that in effect SalesBid clients' sites are enabled to maximise the benefits offered in the area of dynamic pricing on the Internet. The Internet is setting in motion a revolution in business to business pricing and procurement strategies and we would like to be at the forefront of that revolution.
