Samsung Electronics has announced the appointment of Sung Woo Han as vice president and MD of Samsung Electronics Southern Africa.

During Han's tenure so far, he has specialised in sales, marketing and operations spanning the Middle East region. He has also been recognised for his capabilities as vice president of Visual Display, at Samsung HQ.
Matthew Thackrah, deputy MD of Samsung Electronics SA, says the company is in an exciting era. "We are confident under Mr Han's leadership we will deliver the right level of strategic, creative and technology solutions to our customers and that our presence in SA and neighbouring [countries] will further be strengthened."
Han takes over from outgoing MD, Maengdal Bae, who has held the position for three years. "We wish Bae all the best for the future," concludes Thackrah.
