Samsung Electronics South Africa has appointed Sahara as the sole distributor of its range of laser printers.
"Although Samsung already distributes to the retail sector, and Sahara has been officially distributing its products for over a year now, Sahara has proven its worth by growing Samsung's printer market share significantly. This has resulted in it being deemed official sole distributors of Samsung laser printers," says Atul Gupta, MD of Sahara.
The company is now the official distribution channel to computer dealers countrywide.
"With Sahara having been appointed as the laser printer business sole distributors and their continued focus, through their established dealer base, into the SMB/SME market, we expect to grow our unit value and overall market share," says Ben Poulsen, divisional head for office automation products at Samsung South Africa.
Two Samsung printers, the ML1510 and the ML1750, are currently in the limelight as they appear in the Matrix Reloaded and in the very visible marketing campaign that supports it.
In its drive to uphold continuing innovation, Samsung will also introduce notebooks into its office automation product offering in a few months time.
