Brightstar pitches mobile to IT resellers
Handset and IT distributor Brightstar has taken its BlackBerry pitch on the road to show IT resellers how to benefit from selling mobile competitively, writes Mobile News.
Brightstar and its IT distributor joint venture partner Computer 2000 have more than 11 000 dealers reselling mobile and IT services and hardware, and is looking to help its IT base add mobile to their business, as the two industries get closer.
The meeting showed just how far apart the two industries currently are despite the mobile side of the industry discussing IT and its importance for more than a year now. None of the IT resellers in the room admitted to knowing who Brightstar actually was, having dealt previously only with Computer 2000.
