Samsung reveals new products

Samsung Electronics unveiled 11 of its latest products at the inaugural Samsung Imaging Roadshow 2008, says HardwareZone.

The company's latest offerings highlight its focus on the category as a key growth engine to propel its regional growth and extend its leadership in the consumer electronics industry.

To capitalise on the expanding digital imaging market, Samsung has moved the sales and marketing functions of its digital imaging subsidiary, Samsung Techwin, directly under the Samsung umbrella.

Ricoh aims for SMEs

Digital office equipment provider Ricoh Americas has introduced a series of Aficio digital imaging systems for small and medium enterprises, says CBR.

The company has introduced Aficio MP 2550B/MP 2550 and MP 3350B/MP 3350 models, which feature monochrome printing, copying, and colour and black-and-white scanning capabilities.

The models allow administrators to restrict system access to authorised users with Windows, LDAP, or Kerberos Authentication. Additionally, the DataOverwriteSecurity System prevents the possibility of reconstructing from 'latent images' on the internal hard drive.

HP receives awards

HP has achieved success at the Digital Imaging Marketing Association (DIMA) awards in conjunction with the 2008 Photo Marketing Association trade show, including four DIMA Digital Printer Shoot-Out Awards, says Al Bawaba.

HP received the DIMA Innovative Digital Product Award for the HP Photosmart Pro B8850 Photo Printer.

The DIMA Digital Printer Shoot-Out Awards test digital printers, ink, media and RIPs using a challenging target image. Participants were asked to provide specific information pertaining to the equipment and consumables used, as well as the production timing.
