
Samsung unveiled a range of products at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), in Las Vegas last week, including a digital audio line-up, enhanced Series 7 Chronos, Ultrabooks and premium touch-screen monitors.
Ultimate home theatre
The company's 2013 AV products feature wireless connectivity enhancements. The Vacuum Tube Soundbar (model HW-F750) is the first to feature a built-in vacuum tube to maximise sound quality, and is also the world's first soundbar that can wirelessly connect with a TV via Bluetooth.
Samsung's Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker (model DA-F60) brings advanced sound quality with an apt-X codec, while offering the simplicity of near-field communications connectivity.
The 7.1 Channel Home Theatre System (model HT-F9750W) was created as the ideal counterpart to Samsung's 2013 TVs, with a gallium nitride amplifier, which delivers sound, design and usability features that bring home a totally seamless experience.
Samsung's Premium Blu-ray Player (model BD-F7500) features advanced upscaling capabilities, allowing users to experience ordinary SD and HD content in high resolution.
"With the advances in picture displays, consumers also need to be able to complement their viewing experience with high-quality home theatre products," notes business leader for visual display at Samsung, Justin Shaw.
"Today's product introductions prove that consumers can enjoy premium sound and cutting-edge design without sacrificing convenience, simplicity or ease-of-use," he adds.
Series 7 Chronos
The Series 7 Chronos provides enhanced processing power and a software solution RAM accelerator that provides up to 150% increase in speed for browsing and running apps by taking advantage of the existing memory.
With a full aluminium body, the Series 7 Chronos follows the design of its predecessor while packing an Intel quad-core processor with up to 16GB of memory, up to 1TB of storage and dedicated 2GB external graphics into a slim chassis that measures 20.9mm.
The Series 7 Chronos enables the creation of heavy content for professional use while featuring HD display, with 300nit brightness, as well as rich sound with JBL optimised speakers, enhanced graphics to run hardcore tasks, and an extended battery life of 11.5 hours.

Touch-screen monitor
The Series 7 SC770 Touch Monitor is Samsung's first multi-touch display optimised for Windows 8. Supporting up to 10 points of simultaneous multi-touch, users can drag, rotate or select objects on the monitor using their fingers.
The flexible, ergonomic stand of the SC770 conveniently adjusts to user preferences, offering a 60-degree tilt. Additionally, the ultra-thin bezel, along with wide viewing angles, provides a truly immersive viewing experience.
