LCD monitors have an advantage over older CRT technology: they provide better colour depth and image linearity at flicker free resolutions. Not only are they easier on the eyes and way more efficient, but they look great as well.
Tarsus Technologies has released the SamsungSlimLine SyncMaster 191T LCD monitor, a display that delivers high-quality graphics and consumes the least amount of energy and desktop space possible.
After rigorous medical equipment compliancy testing, the new TFT monitor now carries full medical certification awarded by CAN/CSA and NEMKO among others, and meets the ultra low radiation requirements.
"The SyncMaster consumes a minute amount of space, with a depth of less than 210mm," says Tarsus GM, Mark Campbell. "Making the best use of the space available, its 19-inch screen is trimmed by a bezel of only 18.6mm, perfect for cubicle dwellers as well as situations where more than one monitor is needed, such as financial, medical or call centre applications."
Adding to the space saving, the SyncMaster boasts an adapter-free system. A power adaptor is built into the unit, meaning users only need space for the power cable. Samsung`s Powerful Performance Under Minimum Power (PPUMP) acts as a power conservation controller and enables the monitor to deliver the maximum performance in terms of brightness, contrast and viewing angle with the minimum in power consumption.
"PPUMP`s efficiency has resulted in Samsung being able to produce top-quality images while consuming less power," Campbell explains. "Less than 40 watts is used in working mode, compared to around 60 watts in other competitors` equivalent LCDs. Additionally, it also delivers zero power consumption when powered off."
Although the size of the base station has been reduced to fit in with the overall sleekness of the SyncMaster, users still have the full range of tilt, height or swivel adjustments to suit any office environment. They can even pivot the screen by 90 degrees to view full A4 pages.
"Delivering a crisp 1280x1024 resolution, the SyncMaster 191T will suit any office requirement, and its size makes it the premium selection for speciality needs," concludes Campbell.
