Samsung unveils LED HDTVs
Samsung Electronics has released its first full line of LED full HDTVs, and unveiled a comprehensive range of 45 audio-visual products designed to deliver richer and more exciting digital experiences, states HardwareZone.
According to Samsung, its latest offerings signal the company's commitment to breaking new ground and creating new markets as a leading industry player and innovator.
The immense market potential of the new category is expected to help drive the company towards its target of selling 26 million flat-screen TVs globally in 2009. According to Displaybank, LCD TVs equipped with LED BLUs will make up 8% of the total market by 2011.
RTW a star
RTW's SurroundControl 31900 line of sound monitoring and control devices earned a Superior Technology Award Recipient (Star) award from the editors and columnists of TV Technology magazine at this year's National Association of Broadcasters Show in Las Vegas, reports 4rfv.
Now in its 10th year, Star Awards showcase the best technology innovations for the media industry.

Home theatre deal signed
Vivitek, a provider of visual display and presentation products, has introduced its range of home theatre projectors in India, according to IT News Online.
The company has entered into a multi-year distribution agreement with Decibels India, a dominant player in the high-end audio-video segment in the country.
Under the agreement, Decibels and its Cinebels - the Jamo Shop, will distribute Vivitek's high-end range of DLP projectors through their stores, dealers and retail chains, for the growing home entertainment sector of India.
