Digium unveils mobile VOIP app

Digium has unveiled a VOIP application for the iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones that integrates with the Switchvox unified communications solution, says VOIP Planet.

The Switchvox Mobile applications are linked to an employee's phone extension, so when mobile workers make a business call through Switchvox Mobile, the call appears to be from their work phone rather than their mobile phone.

The solution is based on Digium's open source Asterisk platform.
