SAP Africa has announced the appointment of Agnes Gathaiya to the position of Public Sector Director for East Africa.
Gathaiya will be responsible for driving strategy and executing plans that will further build SAP's reputation as a leading provider of business solutions in East Africa.
“I look forward to my new position and aim to make East Africa one of the best run regions on the African continent,” says Gathaiya. “The best businesses globally run on SAP, and our goal is to work with governments and businesses in East Africa to accelerate the development of both the public and private sector.”
Prior to joining SAP, Gathaiya was an Associate Director at Deloitte, where she was responsible for building the company's public sector business, including governments, donors and international non-governmental organisations in the area of performance improvement.
“We are extremely excited by the appointment of Agnes,” comments SAP Kenya's Regional Managing Director, Andrew Waititu. “She comes to us with a wealth of experience and we are excited to see what she will achieve in her new position. We are ready to take big steps in the public sector in East Africa and Agnes is the perfect person to help us do this.”
