SAP appoints VP

SAP Public Services, a subsidiary of SAP AG, has named David Corbett as VP of its US practice, says FOXBusiness.

The appointment underscores SAP's continued commitment to supporting private sector and government-driven initiatives to improve the quality and delivery of healthcare in the US.

Corbett will be responsible for growing SAP's business in the US healthcare sector and will report directly to Pat Bakey, president of SAP Public Services.

Vhi selects Siperian

Vhi Healthcare has chosen Siperian to provide complete, real-time views of its customers, insurance product offerings and relationships, according to PRN Newswire.

Siperian Hub will be used to better understand the information requirements of the company's 1.57 million members and, in order to deliver improved customer service, preventative healthcare information and insurance offerings.

Supported from Siperian's European operations in London, the Irish healthcare insurer expects to significantly reduce call centre response times and better address the needs of its private healthcare customers.

Healthcare organisations use DataDirect

DataDirect Technology's DataDirect XML Converters are being used by healthcare organisations to comply with the X12 electronic interchange and Health Level Seven (HL7) clinical and administrative data standards, states FOXBusiness.

The healthcare IT landscape consists of disparate enterprise systems that require widespread interoperability of critical applications that interact within a local, regional and national health information network.

With such diverse data requirements and ever-evolving interchange standards like X12 and HL7, healthcare payers and providers are looking for technologies that ease data integration efforts, provide real-time data access and maintain the accuracy and integrity of patient data and health information.
