SAP enhances business suite

According to V3.co.uk, SAP explained that the 10.0 release puts all of the firm's analytics and risk assessment tools in one place and has been three years in the making.

Although it pulls in a complex array of information, dashboards used for displaying system information are simple to use, the firm said, and now include a 'bow-tie builder' to link compliance and risk management to the business as a whole and let firms collaborate on risk assessment methodologies.

Computerweekly notes that even though it's styled as version 10 of the SAP BusinessObjects GRC software, the release is an entirely new platform that pulls together the disparate GRC applications from SAP, says Jim Dunham, head of GRC for SAP.

"This is not an upgrade, but represents a migration to a common platform that allows master data to be shared across access control, process control and risk management,” he added.
