SAP goes head-to-head with Oracle
SAP's newest version of its BusinessObjects Global Trade Services application is designed to automate regulatory compliance across the supply chain, says eWeek.
This is the latest in a series of new products that SAP has rolled out in 2009 and comes weeks after Oracle announced its own SaaS application for streamlining supply-chain management.
The announcement follows Oracle's 9 March release of Oracle Sourcing On Demand, a SaaS solution intended to make strategic sourcing, the process by which companies procure materials for their operations, more efficient and cost-effective.
Appian enhances BPM offering
Appian is expanding its offerings for the Appian Anywhere BPM platform-as-a-service, including free 30-day trials, states msnbc.
Appian Anywhere is built on the same code base as the 100% Web-based Appian Enterprise BPM Suite and Appian customers have the freedom to easily migrate their BPM initiatives between SaaS and traditional on-premise deployments.
"Economic conditions are driving a heightened focus on process improvement to deliver visibility, transparency, governance and controls," said Appian president and CEO Matthew Calkins. "Organisations urgently need fast, low-cost, secure solutions for reducing operating expenses, eliminating waste and increasing margins.”
Pegasystems unveils BPM solution
Pegasystems, a provider of BPM software, has released its BorrowerAssist solution to help mortgage lenders comply with rapidly changing regulations put forth by new government programmes designed to solve the mortgage crisis, reports Business Wire.
Using this functionality, financial services organisations can service customers across all channels and quickly determine the optimal loan workout strategy to maximise customer satisfaction and returns.
