SAP puts collaboration at BI core

Cad Cam News.

SAP enables individuals, teams and entire organisations to better collectively problem-solve, brainstorm and make decisions directly within their business applications and with the information they know and use every day - without switching to another disconnected collaboration solution or having to rely on mountains of e-mail to drive projects forward.

Since the release of SAP StreamWork and the addition of advanced and integration capabilities in the enterprise edition of the product, it has been used by people in thousands of cities around the world.

According to ZDNet, the company is also planning to integrate StreamWork with its main business intelligence (BI) platform, BusinessObjects.

It said this would give customers the ability to use BI collaboratively throughout their organisation, allowing users to hypothesise, analyse and make quick decisions based on data.

“The new integration capabilities expand [StreamWork's] reach even further so that all types of people - employees, clients, and suppliers - can have the opportunity to benefit from secure social collaboration in the context of their work,” SAP said in a statement.

SAP StreamWork, enterprise edition, also offers integration with several SAP applications, including the SAP application for social CRM, writes CBR.

Other integrations for SAP StreamWork have already been delivered for the SAP Product Lifecycle Management application, as well as the SAP BusinessObjects Strategy Management application, said the company.

Additionally, SAP is currently planning for the integration of SAP StreamWork with the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform.
