SAP to sell Open Text

Open Text, an enterprise content management company, has expanded its reseller agreement partnership with SAP, a German-based global provider of business processing software, states TheRecord.

Under the agreement, SAP will be selling an extended enterprise content management system built by Open Text which integrates with SAP's own business processing systems.

Jody White, Open Text portfolio manager for the extended enterprise content management for SAP, said although there have been several reseller agreements with SAP in the past, this one is especially significant because it is a “broader and deeper” marriage of the content management with the business processing systems that are used to handle things like contracts.

IBM rolls out service delivery platform

IBM signed an agreement with Indian mobile services operator Idea Cellular to provide a service delivery platform (SDP) to deliver messaging and WAP-based content services to its subscribers, states Trading Markets.com.

The value of the seven-year contract was not disclosed; however, IBM says the implementation of SDP is expected to enable content providers to publish and distribute through multiple channels, such as SMS, MMS, WAP and Web.

IBM will also provide 24/7 monitoring and management from a central business support system network operating centre, including all tools required for operations and management.

Oracle boosts content integration

Oracle revealed at its OpenWorld event in San Francisco that it is working to deliver a higher level of integration between its various product portfolios, says V3.

Oracle unveiled adaptors to integrate with the company's content management products with its applications solutions that range from performance management, financial management and risk management to human capital management and applications.

Oracle claimed the integration of its content management products would help sales and support staff by increasing their visibility into relevant customer documents.
