SAP updates risk management tools

SAP has introduced three tools as it expands its effort to help corporate executives stay in compliance with government like the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Basel II, reports Computer World.

SAP officials said the new governance, risk and compliance (GRC) products are built on a service-oriented architecture (SOA) to enable enterprise-wide gathering, consolidation and presentation of relevant operational information for risk management and compliance efforts.

The products will be out just a few months after SAP beefed up its compliance business with the acquisition of Virsa Systems, a producer of risk management tools. SAP did not disclose pricing for the three new applications.
