SAQI offers IT summer-school

The South African Quality Institute (SAQI) and the Software Process Improvement Laboratory will host a summer-school in process establishment, assessment and improvement in IT.

The course, which runs from 12 February to 2 March, will take place at the SAQI head-office in Sunnyside, Pretoria.

Course content includes a look at techniques, standards and methods such as ISO/IEC 12207, ISO/IEC 15288, CMM/CMMI, ISO/IEC 15504, ISO 9001, which are all reputed to help a business achieve its mission-critical goals and strategies on how to build processes.

Tenrox has signed an agreement with Microsoft, which allows Tenrox to offer the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 under the Microsoft ISV Royalty licensing programme and services provider licensing agreement, reports MarketWire.

Under the agreement, Tenrox will release a new version of its Project Workforce Management software that leverages the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 feature-set, to provide a solution that can be hosted, or deployed on premises.

Datatier has announced the release of its premium software application, Project XS, a project management program incorporating document-management and time-sheeting, says PRLeap.

Project XS includes a project setup-wizard that guides users through the creation process, regardless of any previous project management experience, PRLeap says.
