Saratoga achieves mobility Gold Partner status

Johannesburg, 01 Sep 2006

Saratoga Software has received the prestigious Gold Partner Mobility Competency from Microsoft, as a leading developer of mobile solutions for both the local and overseas markets.

The companies that attain the Mobility Solutions Competency have proven competency in developing and deploying Windows Mobile-based solutions and applications using Microsoft tools and software.

Saratoga has already been identified as a leader in mobile technology and has been awarded DTI funding to develop mobile solutions for the local municipal market know as the Shine Initiative. Saratoga Software has developed mobile solutions for meter reading, work order management, sales management, customer management, surveys and field worker management that are currently in use in the United States, Middle East and Africa.

Saratoga Software's mobile division was created to streamline business processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs through the use of mobile technology and wireless devices.

"There is a growing need for companies to better manage their field workers and provide them with access to secure mobile productivity enhancing tools to optimise business processes," says JB Maree, business development director at Saratoga Software. Saratoga aims to assist organisations in this process by providing a basket of innovative mobile solutions that can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each to boost productivity in the field and enhance back office efficiency.

With mobile software, data can be captured quickly and accurately and processed to a business system more rapidly than with paper-based approaches. In addition, multiple devices such as walkie-talkies, pagers, mobile phones and personal digital assistants can be converged into one multi-functioning device.

"Saratoga is extremely proud of this achievement which consolidates the company's reputation as one of the leading organisations in mobile solution development in South Africa," according to Anthony Robinson, CEO of Saratoga Software.
